Tricycle standard

Rules that convenience cannot override.

No passenger may sit in front or beside the driver.

A tricycle ride carries no more than three passengers in the rear passenger area. Fewer passengers may be necessary when luggage or another safety factor reduces usable space.

  • The booking remains private. Drivers may not add unrelated public passengers.
  • Passenger-side lower doors, where fitted, must be secured before movement.
  • Passengers may not request overloading or an unsafe or unlawful route.
  • Drivers may end or refuse a ride when a lawful safety risk cannot be resolved.

Before pickup

Know what is coming and what it should cost.

Before requesting, the passenger sees the chosen ride type, pickup, destination, passenger count, fare and payment method. After a driver accepts, the app shows appropriate driver and vehicle details, movement toward pickup, distance and estimated arrival.

  • Check that the arriving vehicle colour and details match the app.
  • Confirm the driver without announcing private passenger information to bystanders.
  • Do not enter a visibly overloaded, unsafe or materially different vehicle.
  • Use trip chat or approved calling only for ride-related communication.

During the journey

Respectful, route-guided and free from fare games.

The driver follows navigation while applying lawful road judgement. A necessary safe detour may change the driven path, but slow driving or extra elapsed time does not increase the accepted founding-pilot fare.

  • The passenger group should remain seated in the approved passenger area.
  • Drivers must not hold or operate the phone in a dangerous manner.
  • Harassment, threats, discrimination, violence and deliberate property damage are prohibited.
  • Drivers may not negotiate a different fare or demand an undisclosed charge.

Driver & vehicle standard

Clean, roadworthy and accurately represented.

Drivers are expected to keep their vehicles clean, mechanically safe and free from avoidable odour, sharp objects, exposed hazards and excessive clutter. Vehicle colour and registration relationships must be accurate so the map and arriving vehicle agree.

The founding product records self-declared expiry dates for the driver's licence, motor insurance and roadworthy certificate to provide reminders. These reminders do not replace the authority of Ghanaian state agencies and do not by themselves certify a document as valid.

Passengers may rate cleanliness, comfort, courtesy, driving and vehicle condition. Serious safety reports are escalated for accountable review.

Vehicle owners

Legitimate oversight without unrestricted surveillance.

Monitoring is never automatic. An Owner must make a new request, the linked Driver must accept it, and the approval ends after exactly 24 hours unless the Driver revokes it sooner.

During that window, the Owner may see the linked vehicle's movement plus aggregate completed-trip count and quoted fares for that window. Passenger identity, phone number, saved places and trip chat remain private. Relinking a vehicle to a genuinely different driver requires authentication, confirmation and an auditable change process.

Privacy & communication

Safety information should not expose more than necessary.

  • A Passenger or Driver may optionally create a revocable live-trip link and choose how to send it to a trusted contact.
  • No trusted-contact link is sent automatically, and every link expires when the trip ends or its safety timeout is reached.
  • A recipient should not forward a private live-trip link without the sharer's permission.
  • Direct phone numbers should remain hidden when approved call masking is available.
  • Trip chat and communication records are used only as necessary for service, safety or dispute handling.
  • Identity documents, payment details and private trip information should never be entered into the public-information assistant.

Emergency guidance

Yellow Yellow is not an emergency service.

In immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency authority first.

Do not wait for an app response or use a ride booking as a substitute for police, ambulance, fire or other emergency assistance.

After immediate danger is addressed, preserve relevant trip information and use the in-app safety or support process when available. Do not publish another person's private details while reporting an incident.
